This is a Double-magic aspect of clarity around our family/nurturing/emotional roots and our new spiritual philosophy/global perspective. You may feel as though you are on some type of quest to get clear about ‘who’ and ‘what’ family is to you. How ‘big’ is the idea of your family? Have you integrated and incorporated all your foreign types, your various ethnicities and the seniors/elders of your family? Today it is easy to expand your sense of family to be more inclusive.

We need to strike a balance between ‘family’ and our public authority and use of power. Yesterday I happened to be near a TV and heard the news of ICE going into areas and rounding up illegal aliens. Today is the perfect alignment of energies for the initiation of such misuse of authority (Pluto in Capricorn). Jupiter is actually in a Decile (36 degrees, which is half of a Quintile) to Pluto as the Sun aspects both of them. A Decile is being ‘resourceful’. It is hard to see how we are living up to an expansive view of family while Pluto types of potentially entering homes to remove family members and the like.

What balance do you need to strike in your own family to balance out nurturing with structure and discipline? Has there been too much leniency? Have you fostered a sense of safety that you now feel you must retract in order to maintain discipline and boundaries? Will you overstep your authority to ‘set things right?’ Its not just the Pluto in Capricorn side that may be creating all of the misuse of authority. Cancer is the Sign of ‘security’ and ‘safety’ of the ‘homeland’ and so the very nature of Cancer is like the mother bear who protects its young and allows ‘father bear’ to handle any challenges as he sees fit.
